synopsis: beomgyu swears women fall at his feet and he's in fact, single by choice—what better way to prove this to you than collecting the numbers of random people on the street?

genre: comedy, fluff, best friends to lovers
a/n: late beomgyu bday fic...and its cheesy as hell 😭😭 anyways, nobody understands how happy i got after finding these icons, its literally perfect. this is exactly how he looks in the fic !!!! also lol this is practically me gushing over beomgyu while writing, its so self indulgent
Tumblr media
You don't know how this became topic of conversation for the hundredth time this week. After the events of the failed attempt of trying to get your upperclassman's number, Yeonjun—Beomgyu has been talking nonstop on how he's the most qualified person in your life that could hand you flirting tips, completely dismissing the fact that he's been single for the past two years.
He stops walking when you remind him that very necessary piece of information he seems to forget a little too often. "It's by choice! I'm single by choice!" you hear him yell. You don't pay him any mind, scrolling through your phone as you continue to walk.
He catches up to you rather quickly, hands in pockets as he walks backwards facing you, brown hair prickling his eyes because of the wind. "Do you seriously believe I can't get dates?"
You shove your phone back in your pocket, providing him with your full attention.
"Would you believe me if I said yes?" you enjoy how his hand shoot up to go over his chest, fauxing hurt with a huge pout—you've been telling him he'd do well majoring in theatre arts.
"You've lost your charm Choi, your age's getting to you."
He cracks a smile of disbelief, before continuing on, "I'm twenty-one not eighty-one knucklehead."
Beomgyu turns from facing you, walking by your side again. He clicks his tongue before saying, "You'd think that the closest people to Beomgyu would know him by now."
"Oh no, you're speaking in third person again." you whine.
He'd do this entire thing of narrating his life when he deems it necessary—which really should be never. It's also another reason why you're convinced theatre is his second calling—second to his very dramatic declaration of love to music.
"Yeah, because my best friend in the entire world thinks I'm a loser!"
He wasn't too far off. "Okay, I'll be honest. I do think you're a loser—"
"You're a loser." he retaliates.
"I was just about to compliment you!"
"How was I supposed to know? You don't follow an insult with a compliment, that's like, against the rules of socializing!"
You opt to narrow your eyes at Beomgyu instead of replying, taking the silence route. Beomgyu returns your glare, before huffing.
A few steps without anyone speaking until, "The compliment..." he mutters around a fake cough.
You snap your head to the brunette, lips slightly parted at his shameless attempt of getting a compliment. You punch his shoulder lightly before laughing a little in disbelief but also in a familiar knowing way—Beomgyu's always been like this.
When he gives you a shrug paired with childish pout as to say 'it wouldn't hurt', you give in, sighing. "I was about to say that I think you're handsome but you ruined that dipshit."
It's quiet again, and usually, you'd look to your side, trying to relish in your friend's reaction — it's always so reactive, animated in a way that makes the receiving end feel happy despite the context — but you don't, instead, your eyes were focused on the path you were walking on. It was wide, the greenery of spring occupying both sides, aftermath of the disastrous, lonely winter completely dissolved.
"You do?"
You almost laugh before his tone set on you a little more; his voice was lower, and you felt his eyes hesitantly looking at you, almost like he's genuinely looking for your affirmation.
You choose to look back at him, pursing your lips as you pretend to study the features you've grown accustomed to for the past five years.
You do think he's handsome—it's a given, even now, his bare skin devoid of any noticeable acne scars, lively and clear, his lashes—though a contrast to his boyish charm—so pretty and long you often find yourself feel a little envious whenever your finger would brush over them in awe. And god, if you could even begin to describe the way his lips—
He scoffs, turning away from your stare, pulling you out of your own thoughts. You blink a few times, before also tearing your eyes from the man walking beside you.
You went on too long without saying anything, how embarrassing. Clearing your throat you say, "I do."
He sighs. "You took too long to say that, I don't believe you."
You roll your eyes—you know what he wants. "I think you're handsome, Beomgyu."
You're not taken by surprise when he throws his arm over your shoulders, a teasing smile annoyingly plastered on his face as he shoves it a little too close, forcing you to look at him — you wouldn't complain anyway. "Awe, is little Y/N realizing Beomgyu's the love of her life, her soulmate, her beloved—"
"You're pushing it," you whine trying to push his face away, though the smile on your face is hard to hide. "I just called you handsome, it's not like I'm blind."
To the wanderers around you, the ones sitting on benches enjoying the view of cherry blossoms, they'd assume Beomgyu was your boyfriend with the way he had his arm comfortably laying off your shoulder.
"I'm not just a pretty face Y/N. In fact, I'm so cool that I could get the number of the first girl that passes me."
"No, no you couldn't."
Beomgyu naturally takes this as a challenge when he scoffs, finally removing his arm from you, "Watch me."
That's how it started. The ten minute stroll to get the park's infamous ice cream turning into something way bigger than it originally was.
"Her." you say, one hand on the rough bark of the tree you both were hiding behind, another used to discreetly point at the woman who had a child on her lap, clearly busy as she yelled on the phone.
Beomgyu was directly behind you, his head over yours, as he tries to get a good look of who you were pointing at.
"Are you crazy? She has a kid!" he whisper shouts, though the situation really didn't call for it. The woman was at the least three yards away from the tree you guys were behind.
"I thought love knows no bounds."
That seems to get him, using his beloved philosophy against him.
"It—it does if she's married!"
"You're so traditional. People can raise their kids on their own."
When he doesn't budge, unconvinced of taking such a chance, you turn to face him. Which is a mistake because now you realize how close he was. You clear your throat, dismissing the way the proximity was weirdly effecting you. "You lost. Bet's done."
"What? No! I have seventeen numbers and you have like...five. You lost, fair and square."
"This isn't fair! You made me ask an old man for his number, I had to stay there for twenty entire minutes just so he could type it in!"
"I'm not going Y/N, nothing you can do can convince me." he says, eyes shut as he childishly crosses his arms, head turned to the side, chin up high.
You glare at him before shoving your hand down your jeans pocket for spare change—surprisingly feeling paper. When you pull out the mysterious object, your eyes widen at seeing a twenty dollar bill. You've never gotten this lucky before!
It was too late to shove it back in because Beomgyu opens an eye to peek at what you were doing, noticing the bill you had in your hand.
You look at the boy, who was wide-eyed, then back to your very lucky money. "Fuck..." you groan, slapping the bill on his palm, internally mourning the loss of your money.
"You work miracles Y/N." he says cheekily. You deadpan, which gets the man holding up his hands as defense, flashing the money he just got out of you, with a teasing smile before he proudly turns to approach the woman.
Was that even worth your money?
Chewing slightly on your bottom lip, you observe through narrowed eyes—you can't really make out what he's saying, but the woman's brows were furrowed. Not a good sign.
A smirk makes way on your face as you lean against the tree, arms crossed.
Beomgyu still wears a smile, saying something again. You think that's the end of it, he apologized for bothering her and failed— but that isn't what happens.
Your smirk slowly falls when you see him typing something in his phone.
There's no way.
Before leaving, he gives the kid on the woman's lap a high five.
No way.
"You got her number?!" you shout in disbelief when he's finally in front of you.
"Keep it down!"
You're impatient, waiting for his response to your question, but with the way he had his chin raised proudly, hands in pocket, you got the answer.
You blink a few times, trying to piece your shock together. "But how? She's married! She—"
He gasps before pointing an accusatory finger at you. "I knew you saw that ring! You were trying to embarrass me!" you don't reply, instead just crossing your arms, huffing. "But see who came out on top? This guy." he turns his finger from you to himself, a smile of accomplishment spread on his face.
"Okay, I get it. But is she seriously cheating on her spouse while having a kid? That's fucking messed up."
"I just asked her where I could get the best cakes. She said BonBon's Bakery, which is, like, thirty minutes away."
You narrow your eyes, mouth wide—he can't just do this! "You didn't get her number! You—you tricked me!"
"Yes I did, and I'm proud." He says, walking to go behind you again, searching for your next victim.
You sigh, "Why'd you ask that anyway?"
"What, the cake? Because my birthday's soon idiot."
Oh yeah, his birthday.
"Go up to... the the blonde one! Wait, no, nevermind."
You furrow your brows, "Why'd you just take that back?"
He's quick to reply, "No reason. Oh! Go up to him."
You don't bother to look at who he was pointing at now, instead focusing your attention on the blonde Beomgyu had previously pointed at.
He had a pair of sony headphones, walking, eyes glued to his phone. "Soobin." the name slips out your lips absentmindedly as your eyes follow his figure.
"The random guy I'm pointing at is Soobin?" Beomgyu asks scratching his head, playing dumb.
No, the random guy he's pointing at is a middle aged man with a bald spot. You get into action, quickly walking at the direction of Soobin, who was by now, very far.
"Hey, what are you doing?" Beomgyu's hand is on your wrist, making you turn your head back to him. You tilt your head. "Going up to Soobin and getting his number?"
He breaks into an uneasy smile. "But you know him. That's an unfair advantage."
"I don't know him, you know him. I'm playing on fair grounds." you say, a little confused on why he was caring about advantages anyway—Beomgyu had double the numbers you had, he was winning.
When he doesn't let go, you decide to just shake his loose hold on you, chuckling awkwardly, giving him one last look before trying to catch up to the blonde.
Beomgyu never felt so much nervousness as he waited behind the tree, watching the scene unfold between you and his other best friend, Soobin.
His eyes fall down to see the scattered dandelions in the grass. He gulps before quickly bending down to pluck one out. It's a little childish—the way he holds the flower close to his lips, blowing air with all his force, making sure the dandelion is devoid of any white fluff. Wishing that your beyond terrible flirting skills would be so unflattering that Soobin would reject you.
Which is not the case.
When Soobin bashfully waves, a small smile on his face as he turns away from you, walking away—Beomgyu finds out at the age of twenty-one, that wishing upon a dandelion was a hoax. It's further rubbed in his face when you skip towards him, a wide smile on your face.
He drops the dead flower, pursing his lips as he steps on it.
"Guess who just got a number." you sing-song, waving your phone at him.
"Haha, congrats." he manages to smile, rolling his eyes.
"I'm going to catch up to you and win, be scared." you threaten though, your tone a little too excited, full of pride. Was this how Beomgyu felt on an hour basis? Because god, does it feel great.
"I think we should stop here for today."
You snap your head to Beomgyu, brows furrowed. "What? No!"
"We've been here for more than two hours, my legs are tired." he whines with a pout.
You take notice of your surroundings— the once blue sky was now a deep shade of orange, the park was a lot more empty, only a couple people walking down the path.
Yeah, you should definitely go home now.
"We're ending this formally tomorrow, 6PM sharp. Whoever has the most numbers gets fifty from the loser."
He nods before holding out his hand. "Deal."
You shake it, "Deal."
Though you smiled, you couldn't help but feel as if Beomgyu's mood had taken a complete 180.
You dismiss it—he probably is just tired.
Tumblr media
Movie Sundays—epitome of the typical movie nerd enthusiasts gathering around one TV screen on a specific day, in a specific time and binging 70's shit that is no longer relevant in today's society.
When you open your door, it's typical Beomgyu with his plaid shirt over his plain white one, barging into your apartment like he was your roommate and comfortably following through his usual routine.
"Take off your shoes you hooligan." It's a little ridiculous how often you have to remind him, but that seems to be apart of the routine too.
"It's literally just crocs."
"Yeah, crocs that stepped in dog shit on the way here."
"You're so dramatic." he mumbles, but still takes them off anyway. You would've shot back with a 'funny coming from you' but routine calls, so, you let him go.
You go to your bedroom, fetching a couple pillows before going back to the couch.
Movie Sundays often ended with both of you losing track of time, slipping into deep sleep the moment the clock struck midnight.
It was never your intention to make this movie ordeal into a sleepover on your couch, but that's usually what ended up happening, so preparing for it is always a good idea. Waking up with sore necks proved to be the official worst way to start a day—you'd know.
It's also the reason why Movie Sundays are now held on Saturdays—the change being made around three years ago. It's ridiculous, some would think that by now, you'd call it Movie Saturdays but Beomgyu said that it'd 'take away the magic' if you did — whatever that meant.
"Did you run out of water bottles?" he yells from the kitchen.
"I don't know, check the fridge!"
Beomgyu was tasked with getting the snacks and some water, you didn't have to do much compared to him but he seemed to enjoy getting the autonomy so nobody minded.
"Your fridge is so dystopian." Beomgyu comments, plopping beside you on the couch, throwing you a packet of cheespuffs.
"Wow, how incredibly nice of you to say as a guest."
"I'm being serious though, you have ten rows of mountain dew and ...one egg carton? You're like the stereotypical college student"
You're focused on finding something to watch instead of paying any mind to Beomgyu's rambles—who really tended to say anything. Like right now, when he pinches your cheek seemingly out of nowhere.
"You're so cute." he coos like you were a newborn baby—it truly felt as if Beomgyu was experiencing effects of anesthesia during the process of you finding a movie. You send him a death glare but that only spurs him on as he whines, "See? That was so cute"
You ignore him, finally making the decision of what movie could start off your move marathon. You nudge his shoulder, tearing his attention from his phone. "Hey, how about this one?"
The good thing about picking Beomgyu for your movie ventures was that you guys had similar tastes.
Romcoms. The classic cliched genre that is filled with the worlds cheesiest tropes.
"Yeah, that's good."
Usually it'd start off with Beomgyu making comments every few minutes, but then they'd die down after the third movie which is exactly why you leave the best movies for last—his yelling would've destroyed your watching experience.
Beomgyu tended to be the one laying his head on the armrest so it didn't take long for his leg to be sprawled on top of your lap—serving as a blanket for you.
You don't mind, focused on the scene playing until the buzz of your phone catches your attention. You hesitantly look at your phone, then Beomgyu, then your phone.
It was like an established rule to be off phones when Move Sundays was in motion, it's just that nobody had decided to say it aloud. But the whines that would come from one person when the other was busy on their phone during a movie served as enough reminder that using your phone was frowned upon.
But you couldn't help it. You've been expecting a call from Soobin for the past week, the day you got his number long over. Any notification from your phone tempted you. Foolishly you'd think it was finally Soobin, but that was never the case.
You were starting to believe that he didn't straight up reject you because of his politeness—which really just felt like shit. Were you seriously that pitiful?
Those thoughts dissipate into nothingness when you see the text notification on your lock screen. Texts from someone you've been readily expecting for the entire week.
[soobin, now]: hi :)
[soobin, now]: sorry for not calling or texting you i was just...
When you click on the notification, you expect to see that the end of the text is 'busy' or something of the sort but instead it's...nervous.
Sorry for not texting you I was just nervous? Why would he be nervous?
You can't help but snort, the ends of your lips curling up at the text.
Before you could quickly come up with a response, Beomgyu's face is right next to yours, narrowing his eyes at your phone screen.
"Who're you texting?"
"Fuck!" you shout, instinctively throwing your phone in shock. Thankfully, the phone lands on a chair instead of the floor, and your breathing is back.
You snap your head to Beomgyu to give him a piece of your mind but then... you remember you technically were the one breaking the unsaid rules of Movie Sundays. You collect your anger, sighing before you hold up a tight lipped smile, "It was an emergency."
When he quirks an eyebrow, you further continue to add onto your lie as you go to get your phone. "My grandpa got a heart attack, it's insane."
He rolls his eyes. "You have a grandpa named Soobin?"
Of course he was fast enough to read the contact name.
"Why'd you even ask if you knew?" you ask, sitting on the couch with your phone in hand.
He ignores your question, eyes focused on the TV. "Just put your phone away, you can text him back later."
You give him a look before shutting off your phone and crossing your arms as you tune back into the movie. Or at least somewhat. You're not sure what's up with Beomgyu and the mention of Soobin—at first, you think it's because they had a fight, but you saw them hanging out just fine the other day.
It was weird, but you shake your head out of your own thoughts, dismissing the boy's crankiness as something you really just made up in your head.
That is, until you decide to check your phone again while he goes through a catalog of movies.
"Are you guys dating?"
The sudden question paired with a dry laugh of his own makes you furrow your eyebrows, clicking on your phone to close it. "Hey, what's your problem?"
"What do you mean what's my problem? I don't have any problems."
You roll your eyes, groaning a little. "Did you guys fight or something?"
"No."
You peer at him for a second, urging him to add something more. It works, as his eyes look at you for a second before going back to the TV. He shrugs, "I don't know, it's just weird."
"What is?"
"You getting close to Soobin."
You're even more confused now...wouldn't someone want their best friends to get along? And be friends?
"I don't get it..." you mumble, still looking at him as he avoids any sort of eye contact. "How's that weird?"
He sighs, shoulders slumping. "He likes you."
When you don't respond, he continues, feeling his mouth dry the more he says it, "Like, like-likes you. He says it's love at first sight."
Ever since his best friend had personally confided in him that he might have the biggest crush on his other best friend, A.K.A the love of his life, Beomgyu had done everything in his power to keep you from formally meeting the blonde. Which included a lot of running and a lot of excuses he had to keep up with.
One, because Soobin was totally your type—Beomgyu would know. Two, because he doesn't think he can survive you falling in love with his best friend. It'd be the ultimate awkward situation. Third wheeling would be his daily routine, and it sends him shuddering at the thought.
You laugh, still trying to piece the information together. "What? Wait. How—why is that weird? I mean, okay. He likes me, so what?"
Beomgyu snaps his head to you, almost as if to tell you 'you should know why!' but he quickly controls his facial expressions because you don't know why. Instead he just opts to pout as he tries to explain. "It's weird because—because, like...um..."
"You're—you're going to hurt his feelings just because of a stupid challenge, that's very cruel Y/N." he says, childishly crossing his arms.
"I'm not going to hurt him...you know I'd never do that!"
"Well, you don't feel the same way he does. It'd be like you're leading him on."
"I mean...I can feel the same way he does, if time allows. I think he's pretty cool, seriously." You try to reassure him, but it has the opposite effect. Beomgyu's eyes droop, almost resembling one of a puppy as he looks up at you.
"You—you like him?"
"I said I think he's cool dummy. And that I think I can learn to like him."
"That's not how liking people works."
You barely control the urge to roll your eyes as your phone was above your face, scrolling through your social media mindlessly. "Sure it does. Taking the time to know someone is basically learning to like them."
It's silent as Beomgyu finally picks a movie, the familiar soundtrack giving you the hint that it's West Side Story.
"Well, maybe you could learn to like me too." It was barely audible over the movie playing but you still heard it, the quiet mumble from Beomgyu, concealed with a slight pout.
Your mouth parts a little snapping your attention from your phone to the brunette next to you, "Huh?"
"Huh?" he returns your gaze with wide eyes, fauxing innocence.
"Beomgyu, you just said something. Say it again." You sit up straight, your posture a little more fixed.
"I didn't say anything, I have no idea what you're talking about."
"Beomgyu!" you yell flailing your arms around, with your brows furrowed, and that makes him jump a little, flinching. "Repeat what you said!"
"No!"
You pull out the pillow behind you and threaten to hit him by raising it over his head which gets him talking. "Okay! Okay, hold on!"
"First, put that down!" he yells dramatically referring to the pillow—arm shielding his face.
You reluctantly oblige, slowly lowering your pillow.
When both of your breathing starts to steady, Beomgyu speaks up. "This is not how I planned on telling you—"
"Just say it Beomgyu."
"Okay, look—" he takes a deep breath in, "Imagine there's a totally different dimension. You've known this friend for five years or so—"
"So... you."
"Not me! Just, just imagine someone else." you roll your eyes, trying your hardest to keep your urge to smile down, you've watched enough romcoms to know where this was going.
He continues. "And that friend tells you that 'haha, I'm totally in love with you'. How would you respond? Like, rhetorically."
You sigh, deciding to go along with him. "Rhetorically..." his ears perk up, you could either crush his dreams or—
"...I would reject that friend."
"Oh..oh! Oh yeah, totally. That makes sense—"
"Because they're someone else, not you."
It falls quiet as Beomgyu blinks a few times, processing what you just told him. "What?"
You give him a smile before turning to the TV screen, "I like you too."
He also turns to face the TV, lips parted ever so slightly before he just breaks into a smile, biting down on his bottom lip, trying to contain his squeals.
It was so intune with your friendship for both of you to just sit there after confessing your love for the other, watching the movie you've both watched a hundred times before, in silence as the clock almost struck midnight.
It wasn't anything dramatic, just two people silently enjoying the tragic love story between Maria and Tony while snacking.
Beomgyu thinks you don't notice, but your eyes still catch how his fingers slowly 'walked' to yours, nearing them inch by inch and finally holding them. You laugh a little at how how silly it was, and he does too in reaction—contrasting to the scene currently playing, the death of multiple beloved characters finally occuring.
Your eyes lazily look over at your clock, then you smile looking at the boy next to you. "What's your wish? It's almost your birthday," you manage to say, fighting through your sleep.
Beomgyu is also clearly on the same wavelength as his voice is hoarse, barely hearable, "My wish..."
"Kissing you?"
Your smile grows bigger— god, he was so cheesy. "Come here you big baby."
"That's so unsexy... don't call me big baby when I'm about to give you the best french of your life..."
You laugh, hitting his chest lightly. "Okay, okay I promise I won't."
When he nears your face, the movie in the background playing lines you both could recite by heart, he cups your cheeks, breathing a little unsteady, before smiling. "What?" you whisper.
"I don't think this is a dream."
You look into his eyes for second before deciding to go in first, catching his lips with yours. It's like a small peck, soft and slow as your hand find themselves tangled in his hair. You pull away for a second, looking at his lips then his face, "Yeah, I don't think it is either."

One of my long standing headcanons (and it might be super common) is that Geets never assumes he's welcome to return after a genuine failure, not only as a habit from being in the Freeza Force but also just an artifact of shame and pride's relationship, which feels normal enough.
But then, every once in a while, I think about how at the end of the series Vegeta not only assumed he wouldn't be included in his wish, but also actively removed himself from being brought back to life because of what he did, knowing that the punishment he faced was to have his mind and body and memories destroyed, forever. The man introduced to the series as a villainous master of survival seeking immortality -- who's third wish for that exact thing from this exact dragon ten years prior was undercut by Guru's death, resulting in his own -- saying No I Deserve to Face Judgement I Have No Third Wish.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
God I fucking love Vegeta. He didn't know Bulma brought his victims back so he was like 'no we have to make sure the people I hurt are okay too, idc if I don't count'
And for the emotional whiplash, my beloved, Goku's reaction to Vegeta saying 'no no i deserve to stay dead' is 'huh i guess you're right!'
Tumblr media
aklsjdjasj i love this orange cat too, your honor
Bonus(es) from this end bit, because the Buu saga is predictably my favorite saga:
Tumblr media
The Genuine Shock, the 'Good for you!,' the Porunga going 'Nah man I've met Beerus my definitions of good and evil is wildly different from your little baby earth dragon'
Tumblr media
everyone in this panel being '!!!' except 18 who faced god and walked backward into hell to say "you're goddamn right my child is unharmed"
Tumblr media
She said stay in your lane, fate
Tumblr media
Bulma being so happy to hear her husband's voice again, probably assuming she wouldn't for at least half a year (and probably not knowing that it might be too late for Geets by then)
Tumblr media
Vegeta's warrior crush on Piccolo finally being mutual
Tumblr media
Goku's little concentration face
Tumblr media
Vegeta being reminded that nobody on Earth knows his credentials
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vegeta volunteering to be a meatshield because nobody can tank like Geets can (shout out to Krillin being impressed by it back in the day)
Tumblr media
Vegeta volunteering to die, again, if it means keeping his home and his family (and his friends) safe.
Tumblr media
Porunga being the coolest dragon with places to go and people to see, he does not have all day
Tumblr media
Everyone cheering on the boys. Bulma being very ladylike in her super short dress, as always.
Tumblr media
Dende voluntarily healing Vegeta for the first time, and Vegeta accepting help with no ulterior motive.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vegeta backing down from executing a threat he was personally harmed by instead of just doing it like he did with the Ginyu Force.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Goku being so full of love for everyone all the time even when they've done a lot of harm
Tumblr media
Everyone being so full of love
Tumblr media
Bulma clinging to Vegeta when Buu turns the corner
Tumblr media
Trunks (Eight Years Old) being 100% Ready to Rock Buu's Shit
Tumblr media
Marron not being totally sure wtf is going on
Tumblr media
Vegeta still not on board with the whole 'Laugh it Off' thing Goku and his friends do with existential threats, But Whatever
God I love this series so much lkjada

Aftercare/Safeword (Ren/MC)
Tumblr media
not super in line with the prompt because i can't imagine any of them actually doing aftercare so uhhhhh added another one fuck you.
day 2: safeword/aftercare third person. cw for uh. rape again (i promise this won’t all be noncon lol)
"Hah...c-careful, that's, mph-"
She grimaced slightly as Ren’s thin hips pressed against hers, his cock gradually easing into her lubed entrance as her body pressed backwards. Her delicate, bound wrists strained against the bed frame as she pulled at her cuffs, making the expensive chains jangle and scrape together noisily, uncomfortably.
"That's uncomfortable, Ren..." She murmured, squeezing her eyes shut.
“I know,” Ren replied, his voice just as low, as he pressed closer to her, his length pushing in even deeper, reaching up to tangle his fingers with hers and rubbing his thumb over her strained, white knuckles.
It was supposed to be a comforting gesture, something to calm her down and make her relax and open up (something he had never gotten, of course), but for some reason, it just made her flinch and tighten again.
Not that he minded. A little tightness was good, after all.
That’s what he had been taught.
“Shh, I know." He said again, giving her his best attempt at a smile while he was trembling with the effort to hold back (he was putting in so much effort for her). But you can take it, can’t you? You’re so good at taking it…”
His other hand went down to her soft hips (he always liked them soft, squeezable, easier to hold, easier to hurt)) and squeezed tight, doing his best not to dig his claws inside her (even though he wanted to), trying to urge her to open up even more so he could ease his knot inside her wet, tight heat and get what he really wanted from this.
"R-Ren, I mean it," She said, taking in a hiss as her grimace tightened, making her pretty face screw up unattractively. "It's uncomfortable...I-I don't like it."
“I know, I know,” He whispered reassuringly, nuzzling his face into her hair (curly and thick, so much to nuzzle into, so easy to pull)) and leaving behind a few soft kisses as his hips jerked a little more. “I’m sorry. But I need you like this, okay? Just a bit longer." He bent down to her ear, his breath hot against her skin as the beginnings of his knot pressed against her cunt. "You’re being really good, you’re so good. Be good for me.”
"It's too tight," She murmured with a shake of her head, biting her pretty, plump lip (kissable, fuckable) as her hips shied away from his. "Please, stop, it's...mm, it doesn't feel good..."
“But you’re doing so well…” He said quietly, trying to quell a slight surge of annoyance as he leaned down even more, pinning her to the bed and tilting her head backwards (pressing them into the cushions) to look up at him. "You want to keep doing well, don't you, baby?”
"Ren," She said more firmly, cutting him off and shaking her head again from his grip. "Stop. I don't want to anymore."
She didn’t want to.
He felt a surge of anger course through his body, making his lip twitch (showing his fangs, sharp, it was so easy to puncture skin and flesh when you had teeth like he did, cannibal teeth) and his tail wag back and forth, every gesture enough to make his irritation glaringly obvious.
She didn’t want to.
When had he ever given the impression that he cared what she wanted?
“But I’m having fun.” He said flatly through an especially ugly sneer, his amber eyes narrowing as he stared at her, annoyance slowly spiralling into a strange kind of hate. “And we already agreed to it, didn’t we? I’d get to have my fun,” He punctuated his point with a sharp jut of his hips, forcing his length deeper and his swollen knot to rub against her folds even more. “And you get to have a night without your collar, right? Everyone wins.”
"No," She said, sounding even more firm as she jerked her hips away from him, the tight pull of her cunt dragging down his length. "I-It's not worth it. Stop."
A spark of genuine hurt flashed across Ren’s features as she pulled away from him.
He’d been so good. He’d been patient, kind, attentive (not like how he had been treated, not like him) and now she was just throwing it back in his face. What had his effort even been for, if she wouldn’t let him do the bare minimum?
Any hurt he might have felt was quickly replaced by that festering hate, slowly building up inside of him and almost spilling over.
He held her face tighter, fingers squeezing her cheeks and his claws digging into the soft meat of her flesh, making her moan and whimper in pain as his hips jutted forward again, trying to ease her open and push his knot inside the toight, nonconsenting hole.
“Come on,” He said, his annoyance seeping into his voice, clear as day. “You’re just being difficult now. I'm not making this hard on you." He couldn't hold back a little, involuntary laugh as he shook his head. "I'm not even hurting you, really. What are you putting up such a fight for?"
"Y-You are hurting me," She replied, grimacing again. She looked so unattractive when she pulled that ugly expression (made him want to do something, cover it, hide it away). "Stop, please-"
Ren didn’t stop.
He was too far gone to stop.
Instead, his hand moved down from her jaw and slid around her delicate throat.
He wasn’t going to squeeze just yet, even if he knew she thought so, he wasn’t going to cut off her breath. It was too much fun to watch her eyes go wide at the threat, at the warning (there wasn’t any point in doing this if he wasn’t having fun, after all).
"You don't even know how badly I can hurt you," He murmured as he leaned in even closer, closing the gap between them, his lips barely tracing hers. "And you don't want to know. So, shut up and let me enjoy myself before I do hurt you, get it?"
"Don't," She said, her voice almost a whisper as he began to put a little pressure on her throat, his thumb against her gasping windpipe. "No, nonono, don't, please-"
Not wanting to hear any more of her pleading, he pressed his palm over her nose and whimpering mouth, masking off any sounds and cutting her breath short. He then held her hip tightly, not caring as his claws sank into her (they would leave behind such pretty marks, after all), and forced the beginnings of his knot inside of her, groaning lowly at the tight heat.
“Fuuuck, that’s it,” He moaned, eyes rolling back as he idly squeezed her cheeks again.
He almost couldn’t hear her cries, didn’t see her kicking her legs against the mattress and pulling at her cuffs, as he eased deeper into her, almost to the very base of his cock, the (surely painful) stretch of her cunt providing a wonderful tightness around his knot.
“God, it’s almost there already,” He murmured, eyes finally going back down to hers, his grip on her face loosening, just enough, just slightly. “Just a little more now-”
"RED!" She croaked, her panicked cry echoing in the silence of the room, loud like a trapped animal. "Red, red, red, stop, I mean it!"
And just with that word, everything fell still.
Ren’s hand quickly dropped from her sweaty face, and he pulled back, staring at her with wide eyes.
“…What?” He asked, his voice a bit shaky, “Y-You… you’re serious?”
"Please," She pleaded, thick tears beading down her flushed cheeks. "I-I'm sorry, I can't do it, please, red, please…"
She really meant it, didn’t she?
Ren expected a little push and pull when it came to playing with his toys, a little fight, and a little dubiously consensual coercion that he was eminently familiar with, but he hadn’t expected as extreme a reaction as this one.
A darker part of his core told him to ignore her, to keep going, to take what he wanted because everyone else seemed to take from him. Why couldn’t he be the one to take for a change?
And she would look so good screaming into his palm, begging for mercy that she wouldn’t find, not from him and not from anyone.
That was what he was used to, after all.
But there was a better part of him that forced him to stop at the safe word (when had they even discussed a safe word?)
Granted, maybe it wasn’t entirely better than that core. But it was a part of him that persisted, despite everything that he wanted, everything that he felt like he deserved.
Slowly, he pulled back and eased his cock out of her, annoyed at the loss of that wonderful pressure, but…
“Hey, hey, you’re alright… you’re okay,” He murmured softly, leaning in and wiping away one of her tears (though more followed behind as she cried on). “Just… you don’t want to do this, huh?”
She sniffled, pathetic but adorable (thank god she wasn’t still ugly like when she was grimacing) and nodded, her lip trembling.
You’re being soft, that dark part told him, you’re coddling her. She’s going to use it against you the second she has a chance to, and you know it.
His face hardened for a moment at the thought, half tempted to pull away and leave her to comfort herself (he’d stopped, hadn’t he, what else could she want?), before he sighed, his ears tilting downwards in a shame that he wouldn’t vocalise.
“It’s okay,” He said again, his (defeated) tone quiet and almost gentle, giving her a soft smile. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry. I… didn’t know. I wouldn’t have pushed if I knew it was too much…” He sighed again and shook his head. “I didn’t mean to hurt you…”
She let out a relieved sigh and breathed hard, looking like she was actively trying to stop herself from crying more.
That was something. It made him feel a little better, if nothing else.
"It's...it's okay," She murmured quietly (she’ll let him do it again, as long as he apologised after). "Can you untie me, please?"
“Of course… of course, I will.” He nodded. “I’m sorry, I just… got a bit excited, y’know, carried away, I… yeah.”
He reached up to unbuckle the cuffs, quick fingers nimbly working the metal and setting her free, moving backwards on the bed so that she could sit up.
The cuffs were good leather, high quality and fur lined for premium comfort (because he was coddling her), so she wasn’t going to be hurting, even after fighting her binds so fiercely.
"I just...really like you.” He continued to explain as he gave her another smile, his tail wagging slightly, as if waiting to be praised for not committing completely to assaulting her.  “I wanted to show you how much I like you, too, you know? Knotting is, like…major for beastkin, after all."
"Yeah...I know," She swallowed with a hesitant nod, before giving him, too, a teary smile. "Thank you...for stopping. I,” She swallowed uncomfortably, her eyes flitting to the side. "I know it was important, so…it means a lot.”
Ren nodded, not picking up on her discomfort (or not caring when it was presented to him) and gently pulled her close, wrapping his arms around her (certainly not asking if it was okay to or not) and urging her into his lap.
He nuzzled into her hair, thick and soft and comforting, and took a slow, deep breath.
"You scared me, y’know…” He said, with the beginning of a pout. “I don’t like seeing you cry like that. It really puts me off.” He idly stroked up and down her arm, resting his chin on her shoulder. “And you cried all your makeup off, too. It’s all smeared and messy now.”
"I'm sorry.” She murmured dejectedly, looking down at her lap. “For scaring you…and, um, the make-up too, yeah…”
“And you know I can’t take your collar off now too, right?” He reminded her, with a slightly chiding tone. “Even though we agreed to it…”
“I…I know.” She nodded with a little frown, torn between disappointment and hurt. "I'll...try to do better next time..."
Ren couldn’t help but squeeze her tighter, his heart lurching in his chest and soaring high over the whole sorry affair.
"Aw, you're such a good girl," He said with a big smile, nuzzling into her even more as he clinged tightly around her waist. "Even when you get scared or disappoint me, you always try to do better. I'm so lucky~"
"Yeah...I am too," She said, with something close to a sigh.
"I'm...lucky."

Self-Promotion as Distraction
Want something to read? Here's my stuff that I'd rec, along with what kind of mood it's good for. Feedback adored if you read any of these and wanna give it.
Supernatural - The (Second) Book of James - Long Good if you like stories written before Season 9, tons of angel lore and metaphysics, angel-vessel relations, Jimmy Novak, a story told backwards-and-forwards, and something with a very bittersweet ending that is not actually the ending. Some warning for tragedy, of a sort. If you love Cas and Jimmy, though, it's a hell of an adventure, especially if you like Cas as a total badass.
Star Trek: The Original Series - The Arc of the Wolf - Long Good if you love your Trek stories very grounded and humanistic. Pretty much the life story of Montgomery Scott, it's very much a Scotty story first and a Trek story only sometime after that. There's drama, humor, high seas piracy, friendship, found family and even if you don't actually know Trek very well, I've been told you don't need to in order to enjoy it.
Star Wars - Witness me - Long Good if you like Maul and specifically Obimaul, especially with the more Legends lean on Maul's characterization. Basically an AU where Maul was captured after Theed, the series doesn't ignore the fact that Maul was cut in half, so it's very heavy on the psychology and relationship building. It also has a whole gamut of emotions explored, and beyond the Obimaul, you also have found family and friendship building and an absolutely awesome cast of clones in Blackbirds: Year One. Probably my most popular work, and not entirely without reason.
Star Wars - Undersong - Long-ish Good if you like id-fic! A Sith AU where both Obi-Wan and Maul are raised by Sidious before escaping together, it's largely written in a serial format, with short chapters and a lot of momentum. Good if you don't like long, dense chapters, but do like a story with some real rollercoaster emotion. I enjoyed the hell out of the supporting cast, and so does everyone who reads it, too.
DC Comics/JLI - Past Resolution's Power - Mid-length Good if you want a shorter tale but with teeth. The prequel series to Stardust, this one primarily looks at the short span of time between the book Justice League: Generation Lost (and Booster Gold Vol. 2) and Flashpoint, mostly centered around Booster, but also with Rani and Rip and Michelle and Guy. It's a pretty heavy and genuinely mature story, though it's got its light spots, too. Also called the Mk. I timeline, as its the first.
DC Comics/JLI - Carbon Cycle - Long Good if you want something long, involved, sometimes incredibly fluffy and definitely filled with warmth. The Mk. III timeline -- meaning the third reboot, versus the Mk. I timeline above -- takes place mostly around DC's Rebirth era, on the notion that the characters aren't getting cleanly reset every time and instead that there are these echoes from past lives. The main story, Stardust, is Booster/Beetle slowburn, lots of funny but also lots of sincerity, and later on some heavier stuff creeping in, but the supporting cast has some serious screentime, too.

Hi! I saw your post on telling Americans to vote, and I was wondering what you think of posts from people from other parts of the world who are calling Americans evil for voting for Biden because of his support for Israel. I've seen a few already. They seem to be completely convinced that Americans deliberately voted for Biden specifically to side against Palestine and no other reason, and spread the general (pretty ignorant and hateful) message of "Americans are evil because of the actions of their government and because they collectively refuse to vote for a president who is good and not simply 'the lesser of two evils'". It frustrates me because they seem to think they're experts on US politics, culture, and society and have all the answers, but it also makes me concerned because it reminds me of the whole Russian bot thing from last time. Like, I'm 99% sure the people reblogging these posts aren't Russian bots (don't know about the OPs though), and they unquestioningly believe this. What do you think of this and how would you go about addressing this issue? Do you think it's possible to get them to understand how little they actually know about the US and how they're actually promoting a message that makes things worse for everyone? I've also seen less scathing posts that are just disheartened and don't seem to believe the democrats are truly better to vote for than the republicans and so it's just two sides of the same coin. To be fair, I think that sort of feeling is only further encouraged because there didn't really seem to be much if any progress made with Biden, not even back to square one after Trump moved the country so far backwards. I think most Americans really wish the elections actually had good candidates and they could pick the best of two goods, but are frustrated and stuck with the current system and don't know how to actually get to the point where there are good candidates. (Though personally I think voting for the one who isn't actively trying to make themselves a king with unlimited terms is a decent start. I can understand the frustration though.)
Hi! Thanks for the ask. This stuff worries me too. I've gotten comments on my posts like that too, telling me/other Americans that we're evil for voting for Biden.
But I've seen a much larger number of comments and posts from people outside the United States BEGGING us to vote for Biden. I literally get tags like that on my posts EVERY DAY urging Americans to vote blue. So I think that's valuable context, even if it doesn't solve the problem of the "I hate everybody who votes for Biden" crowd.
And yes, it's definitely a shitty argument on their part to claim that people voting for Biden are specifically siding against Palestine. Literally every single person I know in real life and online who plans to vote for Biden has been criticizing and protesting his policies on Palestine.
In terms of convincing the anti-voters that they're wrong, honestly, I don't know. They don't listen to reason and they seem intent on spreading despair. Some of Biden's policies have been terrible (Willow oil-drilling project), some of them have been downright evil (military aid to Israel), but I'm a rational person and I know that Trump is worse in every respect.
I've tried debating them. It's been pointless every time. They genuinely don't know how the government works, which scares me. Common takes include: 1) a genuine lack of awareness of how pro-Israel Trump and the right wing are, combined with magical thinking that a virtually unknown third party candidate can win the presidential election, 2) truly impressive mental gymnastics blaming Biden for the overturn of Roe v. Wade, and 3) continuing the mental gymnastics to blame Biden and the Democrats for anti-trans policies...
I guess my advice is to either ignore them and move on, or debunk things when you have time/energy? It's easier said than done, I know. There's nothing more annoying than someone being stupid on the internet, especially when they accuse you of stuff that just isn't true, and especially when they're spreading dangerous misinformation or voter-suppression rhetoric.
Like you, I'm highly suspicious of anyone who advocates AGAINST voting, or against voting blue. And I agree, many of these people are not bots, like you said, but I call them useful idiots, because they're doing the bots' work for them.
The one thing you said that I'm going to push back on is "there didn't really seem to be much if any progress made with Biden." Biden's actually made lots of progress on a variety of issues, and reversed some of Trump’s damage, it just doesn't get a lot of fanfare and it’s unfortunately happening at the same time as Republican gains in state legislatures and while they control the Supreme Court. But Biden and his administration have:
• invested billions in green architecture and clean energy, including making sure federal investments benefit low-income communities
• introduced new fines for companies' methane emissions
• introduced a plan to cut the federal government's greenhouse gas emissions by 65% by 2030 (that includes the military, which is a huge emitter)
• passed a huge bill for improving the country's infrastructure, including bridges, roads, broadband and more
• introduced first-ever national strategy on gender equality and equity and pushed Congress to pass the Equal Rights Amendment
• fought for women's reproductive rights after the overturn of Roe v. Wade
• put more women, people of color, and women of color on the federal bench than any of his predecessors combined
• nominated Kentaji Brown Jackson as the first Black woman to serve on the Supreme Court
• boosted funding to historically Black colleges
• ordered the DOJ to end the use of private prisons by the federal government
• pardoned thousands of people convicted on federal marijuana charges
• created a White House office of gun violence prevention
• passed the Respect for Marriage Act, guaranteeing federal rights and benefits for same-sex couples
• rolled out a series of actions to protect the rights and safety of the LGBTQ+ community, including protecting queer and trans foster youth, improving access to mental health services, and addressing the rise in hate crimes
• challenged discriminatory state bans against gender-affirming care and trans athletes
• called to support trans youth in State of the Union address and restored the White House tradition of recognizing Pride Month
• changed passport rules so that people can obtain a passport with no gender marker
• examined efforts by each federal agency to advance LGBTQ+ rights around the world
• reversed Trump's transgender military ban
• protected the rights of incarcerated trans people
• forgave billions in student debt, repeatedly, and introduced penalties for college programs that trap students in debt
• slashed bank overdraft fees
• expanded guaranteed overtime pay for millions of people
• made union-busting harder
• prevented discriminatory mortgage lending
• made efforts to expand the child tax credit, which could lift hundreds of thousands of children out of poverty
• cracked down on agriculture monopolies to support farmers and small businesses
• made it so the government is going to start taking drug companies' patents away if they don't make affordable drugs
• made over-the-counter birth control pills available for the first time
• lowered the cost of hearing aids and expanded access to them
• spent millions of dollars on students' mental health
• reversed discriminatory healthcare rules
• reinvigorated cancer research
• announced plans to replace all leaded pipes in the next ten years as well as combatting lead exposure abroad
• changed rules for how people can get aid after disasters so they can get more protection and immediate payments more easily
• introduced new data privacy rules protecting people from tech companies
• pushed the federal government to monitor AI risks
• maintained steadfast support for Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression
• maintained steadfast support for Taiwan in the face of Chinese intimidation
• strengthened ties with allies in Asia and the Pacific Islands
• pledged climate change assistance to low-lying Pacific Island countries
• literally IMMEDIATELY after being elected, Biden fortified DACA, rejoined the Paris Agreement, and ended Trump's discriminatory "Muslim ban", ended the Keystone XL Pipeline and fossil duel development in wildlife monuments, (same as last link) rejoined the WHO, strengthened COVID-19 response measures on a variety of fronts, re-included non-citizens in the U.S. census, and passed executives orders on racial equity in the federal government
And I'm sure there's more I left out.
There are also things Biden does that literally don’t make the news, but matter a lot, like funding the Postal Service, and continuing to have a State Department so we can conduct overseas diplomacy (Trump tried to defund the USPS and wants to purge the State Department and fill it with loyalists).

STREET RACER! HOBIE x STREET RACER! READER
warnings : illegal street racing, gambling, cursing, suggestive
notes : this one's not that much focused on street racing anymore. im so very normal about him, cant you tell?
part 1 ☆ part 2
first off, street racer hobart brown is a menace. did i mention that or was i too busy gushing about him last time?
street racer hobie loves getting a reaction out of you, commenting on things he knows would rile you up. and he can read you absurdly easily
street racer hobie and you make seperate bets aside from the main one. like if you win, he does whatever you tell him and if he wins, you do whatever he tells you. and if neither of you win, its a draw and its boring so either of you have to win
if you won, you'd probably ask him to let you drive his car around for a week or so. and if he won,, well...
"What?" you ask, though it was more of a rhetorical question, if anything. You heard him loud and clear, you just couldn't believe it.
He had his distinct smug grin on his face as he takes steady steps backward to his car. "'Said I'll pick you up at 8. Wear somethin' nice and casual, yeah?" he says with his back finally against his restored vintage on wheels, smirking at your heated face.
You swallowed a lump in your throat and opened your mouth, your words delaying by a bit. "You're not gonna stick around for my answer?"
"Won the bet, didn't I? It's set in stone," he muses, switfly entering his car. "Later."
he took you to a gwen stacy concert (gwen is a referred to as "maybe the most influental musician – the greates artist – of our generation" in earth-138) and you both had a great time
pretty obvious when you woke up that morning in your apartment and in the comfort of his arms
it was another date, then a third and a fourth then the next until you both just couldn't stay away from one another anymore
you know how in wwe, fights are rehearsed and they don't act the same behind the camera? it's half something like that. your races are genuine but your behavior with each other isn't
all hostile and aggressive near crowds and never ending insults and mockery from both sides. none of the audiences knew how much street racer hobie loved eating your face behind the curtains
"Hob–" you manage to gasp out between kisses. Your was hand clutched on his vest as his hand behind your head deepens the kiss. A surprised moan escapes past your lips when you feel his knee between your thighs.
You start to become more light-headed. He starts trailing the kisses down to your neck and you reward him with a few soft mewls.
"H-Hobie, we're late. Stop." You try to push him away, your hands on his shoulders but he intertwines them with his' and pins them against the wall.
His lips return to yours' once again, exhaling contently before he departs. "I don't think you want me to stop either, love," he whispers, pressing his forehead against yours. You slowly open your eyes to see him smiling.
It wasn't his usual smile — there wasn't an ounce of teasing in it. It was gentle with affection and intimacy. You sigh and plant a short kiss on his. "Wouldn't they be suspicious if we bailed at the same time?"
"Would you care if they did?" he asks, moving your hands to rest around his neck as he puts his' around your waist, pulling you both unbelievably closer. You consider it and give him a small peck before shaking your head. "That's my girl."

Thy'lek Shran (ST:ENT) x Reader
[A/N: This has a bit of innuendo and flirting, but there's nothing blatantly smutty.]
Warnings: Implied interspecies romance, implied Human/Andorian romance, hugging, birthdays, pre-relationship, fluff, forehead kisses.

~*~
For the third time that morning, Commander Shran heard your name being whispered by a secretive looking group of officers. The first two times, he was walking through the corridors of Enterprise, heading for the bridge to get a status report. This time, he was grabbing his midday meal and had just retrieved a glass of some kind of juice to go with his food when he heard the distinct sound of lowered voices.
As with the previous incidents, he noted that one of their number was keeping watch as they conspired in a quiet corner of the otherwise deserted Mess Hall.
What reason did a group of suspicious looking officers have to say your name in relation to whatever they were scheming? He recognized them, of course. He'd made a point of getting to know all of Enterprise's officers when he'd been allowed to serve aboard Captain Archer's ship.
Hoshi, Trip, and Travis - the latter of whom was the lookout - all claimed to be your friends. So why would they be whispering about you while taking care not to be caught? Thy'lek pulled himself up to his full height, feeling his antennae flatten backward in tune with his simmering frustration.
Travis's eyes widened, and he tapped the shoulders of the other two, prompting them to break off abruptly when they spotted Shran sidling up to their table.
"Oh, don't let me interrupt," he crooned as he pulled another chair over and took a seat. With a slightly wooden smile, he set his lunch on the table. It was rude of him to cut them off, but it was even worse for them to be talking behind your back when you weren't there to defend yourself. "How are your shifts going today, hm? Everyone keeping busy?"
The trio looked at each other in confusion, and Hoshi began to stammer out a response.
"I...Yes, sir. We just finished eating–"
"Well, then there's no sense in languishing in here, is there?" He suggested rather bluntly, and the two younger officers grabbed their trays, practically falling over themselves to clean up and get back to their posts. Shran took a sip of his juice, and turned his gaze toward Trip.
"What's got your antennas in a twist, today? Poor Hoshi was as pale as a ghost when you snapped at her, and Travis looked like he wanted to stick his head in the sand. There was no need for you to talk to them like that," Trip said frowning at the still irritated Andorian. Shran respected him for standing up for his officers, but knowing that he'd been just as guilty of talking about you behind your back wiped any feelings of neutrality that Shran had been harboring for the Commander.
"I would expect childish behavior from junior officers, but from you, Tucker? I'm disappointed."
With a look of confusion, Trip shook his head and left the Mess Hall without a word. Finally alone, Shran pinched the bridge of his nose and let out a heavy sigh. How would he be able to tell you that people were talking about you? For that matter, should he tell you in the first place? Wouldn't that just hurt your feelings and make the situation worse?
A familiar, gentle hand rested on his shoulder, bringing him out of his thoughts.
"Thy'lek? What's wrong?" He hadn't heard you come in, but there you stood as beautiful as always, looking at him with wide, concerned eyes.
A smile - a genuine one, this time - crossed his lips, and he covered your fingers with his own.
"It's nothing. Just a strange day, that's all," he murmured, gesturing for you to join him. You set your tray down, but you didn't start eating right away, keeping your gaze fixed squarely on him. "I mean it. I'm alright."
"...If you're sure," you replied, and Shran promised that he was before changing the topic. It wouldn't do for him to act rashly on this, no matter how strong his protective instincts were when it came to you.
--
When Shran was making his rounds on the Bridge later that day, he saw Trip make his way over to the Captain's chair, Hoshi trailing quietly behind him. The only word he could catch from their whispered exchange was your name, and that was the straw that broke the camel's back.
"Captain," Shran called, "may I have a word with you and Commander Tucker in private? Now?"
Archer looked a little perplexed at the palpable anger in his tone, but he smiled and nodded his head in agreement regardless. As soon as the door closed behind the three of them, Shran narrowed his eyes and allowed all of his righteous anger come spilling out.
"Captain, there is a disciplinary problem on this ship. Three times today alone, I've noted groups of crewmen talking about a particular crew member behind her back, including Commander Tucker," the Andorian seethed, glaring at the Engineer.
"If you'll just let me explain–"
"What is there to explain? A senior officer shouldn't be gossiping or spreading rumors behind someone's back when they aren't present to defend thmselves! Such behavior lacks integrity and honor! I expected a member of Starfleet to comport themselves better," Shran snarled, but Captain Archer cleared his throat beside the two.
"Commander...have a seat. There's been a misunderstanding, and I'd like to clear it up." When the Andorian did no more than turn his glare on Archer instead, the Captain sighed. "I know you care about her, and we do, too. It's her birthday tomorrow, and the whole crew has been trying to plan a surprise for her."
Shran looked at him blankly, some of his anger fading away in the wake of his confusion.
"...'Birthday'?" He'd heard the term once before, but he didn't know what it meant. You couldn't possibly be pregnant. Shran had seen an image of a Human who was with child, but you didn't look like that at all. Reluctantly, Shran took a seat, and Jonathan dismissed Trip, allowing him to go back to his duties.
"Humans have a tradition. Every year on the anniversary of the date that we were born, we acknowledge the passing of another year. It's a celebration, a...a way to mark a person's increasing age and wisdom," the Captain said. "A lot of people, including most of the crew, try to give surprise parties for the person whose birthday it is. That's what Mr. Tucker and the other officers have been trying to do. They were talking about the Lieutenant, because they wanted to plan a party for her without her finding out and ruining the surprise."
Thy'lek's shoulders relaxed, and his antennae lifted the rest of the way upward.
"I apologize for my outburst, then. I just thought..." Shran trailed off with a vague wave of his hand, but Archer just laughed and sat at his desk.
"Don't worry. The whole crew knows how you feel about her, and, hey, I get it. If I thought somebody was talking about the person I loved behind their back, I would've reacted exactly like you did," the Captain commiserated, offering him a small smile. "Now...something else I should mention, is that typically people end up giving gifts to the recipient of the party, but obviously, since you're Andorian, you wouldn't be held to that standard."
"No. I have something that I've been meaning to give the Lieutenant," Shran said picturing the object he had stashed in his quarters. Just picturing the sweetness of your smile made him relax in his seat. "So, how can I help with the party?"
With a wide, enthusiastic smile, Archer leaned forward.
"I'm so glad you asked."
--
As soon as he and the Captain had exited his office, Shran offered his apologies to the officers he'd snapped at and made his way to Sickbay to speak with Phlox. Apparently, the Doctor was in charge of organizing this particular surprise party.
Shran received and carried out his orders well, keeping you distracted so that you wouldn't grow suspicious while the cargo bay was being decorated. That wasn't exactly a hardship for him. The Commander relished any time he got to spend with you, even if it was something as simple as a quiet evening staring out a viewport together at the passing stars.
In fact, he was quite certain he liked those nights the most. There, in the solitude of your quarters, something soft and vulnerable unfurled in his chest as he beheld your face bathed in starlight. The way you snuggled up against his side, trusting him with the vulnerability of such moments, only reinforced the notion that Starfleet was the right place for him - that being at your side was his real home.
So, the evening before your birthday, the two of you curled up together in your quarters talking late into the night. Eventually, you both fell silent, and a gentle weight settled on his shoulder just after midnight. The Commander looked down at your sleeping face and couldn't suppress a smile. You looked so peaceful resting against him.
Carefully, he lifted you into his arms and carried you to your bed.
"May your dreams be as sweet as you are," he whispered as he pulled the covers up just the way you liked them. Shran debated with himself for a long moment before finally leaning down and kissing your forehead. "Happy Birthday, Lieutenant."
Normally when you'd fallen asleep during their calm evenings, he'd gratefully allow himself to pass out on your sofa for the night. The Commander claimed it was too far to walk, but, truthfully, he just wanted an excuse to be a little closer, to protect you while you slept...and to rest atop a pillow that smelled like you.
Tonight, though, he had one final duty to perform for the party tomorrow. He had to get your gift ready.
Keeping secrets from you was not something he'd ever planned to do, but Thy'lek knew that you'd enjoy what was waiting for you in the cargo bay the next day. Still, his heart gave a pang when he thought of you waking up alone and wondering why he'd left.
--
"Thy'lek, shouldn't you be on duty right now?" You asked, but you didn't show any signs of releasing your grip on his arm as he led you through the ship.
"I assure you, Captain Archer won't mind if I spend a few minutes with my favorite girl," the Commander said patting your hand where it rested on his forearm. He'd been guiding you slowly, in a meandering path toward the decorated cargo bay, diverting your attention from the crewmen hurrying down the corridor with a few last-minute details. "Do you have any special plans for today? After all, it is your day off."
"Oh, um...not really," you murmured giving his arm a gentle squeeze. "Why? Did you have something in mind?"
Oh, if only you knew. The pair of you were approaching the doors, so instead of answering, Shran simply paused before the control panel and turned to face you.
"Why don't you find out?" He asked gesturing to the controls. You gave him a quizzical look but ultimately opened the doors. The whole bay was bathed in darkness, but you still took a step inside. You knew Thy'lek wouldn't let you get hurt. With him at your back, you walked a few feet forward.
"What are we–"
"SURPRISE!"
The lights flicked on to reveal all your friends standing in the middle of the cargo bay. Some makeshift streamers and decorations were strategically placed throughout the space, and atop a table comprised of a large storage container stood a cake.
"Happy Birthday," Shran murmured from right behind you. When you turned to face him, tears had gathered in your eyes and a giant smile stretched both your lips and his. You threw your arms around him, and he caught you effortlessly. "I hope you enjoy your party, sweet girl."
All the while, the weight of the small pendant that he'd wrapped up for you the night before rested squarely in his pocket where he'd placed it. It had been in his family for generations, and he hoped that it would prove how serious he was when he finally told you how much he cared for you.
He didn't know if he'd have the courage to do so tonight, but the pendant was a start. Shran had thought he'd seen affection in your eyes more than once when you looked at him. He just hoped he was right.
For now, though, he was eager to see you enjoy yourself. After all, this was your day. He wanted you to make the most of it.

okay so as my fourth day update on resisting ocd compulsions, I suppose it's more third day but I started a bit on the 31st, is that you do feel a lot less anxious in your day-to-day life (or at least, I do so far) because you don't allow things to escalate. you do still feel anxious, and at moments I've felt a bit depressive, but it is mostly low-level background noise as I said. there is also a genuinely freeing / calming rush that comes from realising you're in control and do things not because of stray demanding thoughts but because you are a person who can exercise personal choice. you mean I can climb into and out of my bed on either side of it? you mean I can use whatever glass for my water? you mean I can watch a youtube video if I want? you no longer have to make decisions with the mind to not disrupt rituals or acquiesce to ocd demands, and this is unsurprisingly a freeing feeling.
you have to be quite attentive to not falling into rumination or covert compulsions in a way that can make you more mentally exhausted, but I'm guessing this won't be permanent but will feature as I'm trying to significantly rewire my neural pathways and all that. or even just reasserting focus on what I'm doing when I have a thought, sometimes it's as easy as just moving onto the next thought but sometimes it takes more concerted effort that can make you feel like you're quite alert a lot of the time. but ultimately that's not too bad. so far so good.
you also do feel a bit anxious, or at least I do, about not doing compulsions no matter what. as in, you're upset when you do one even momentarily. obviously you fail here and there, but you have to make sure it's momentary and doesn't become a spiral. but I'm sensitive to the fact I want to move forwards towards recovery and not backwards, and this means that the stakes feel quite high, which is, funnily enough, anxiety inducing. but I know feeling crushed when I make a mistake will make this more difficult so I'm dealing more in overall patterns, and the overall picture looks positive.

if you stopped writing, I believe I would cry. So, here’s another prompt. I would love, love, love to hear someone in the future (Discovery, SNW, TOS, TAS, TNG, DS9, Voyager, LD, Prodigy, Picard or anything else) absolutely swooning over Trip and T’Pol. So many bonus points if it’s set in your “Built to Last” universe.
Don't cry! ❣️❣️❣️
(hopefully this gets me bonus points lol)
Nog paced nervously in front of the console. “What if I don’t know enough?” he fretted. “Everything I’ve ever worked on has been primitive and out of date! I'll look backward compared to the other cadets!”
Miles O’Brien, in what one might be forgiven for viewing as his natural state – elbow deep in arcane Cardassian circuitry – didn’t look up. “It's not the newness of the technology that matters, Nog. Everything was cutting-edge once. It's whether or not you understand the mechanisms in front of you. That’s when an engineer proves himself. Have you ever heard of Trip Tucker?”
Nog stopped pacing, his face wrinkled into deep confusion. “What's a Trip Tucker?”
O’Brien chuckled. “Who. Captain Charles Tucker the Third. They called him Trip. He's somebody I think you'd find you have a lot in common with. First Chief Engineer of the very first Enterprise. Well, first starship Enterprise anyway. Back before the Federation was even founded, when Starfleet was Earth only.”
“That was centuries ago.”
“Yeah, it was. Back then, humans were the newcomers in the quadrant, way behind just about everybody else. It takes a lot of ingenuity to make up for being at a disadvantage. Hopefully your instructors at the Academy will tell you about some of the things he had to do to keep that ship flying.”
“What ship?” Lt. Commander Dax asked from the door. She carried a raktajino mug in each hand, placing one on the console in front of O’Brien. He nodded his thanks.
“Enterprise, NX-01,” he said.
“Oh, are we talking about Trip Tucker?”
“Has everybody heard about this guy but me?” Nog demanded.
“You know, I met him once,” Dax said. “Well, Tobin did. At an engineering conference on Earth, not long after the end of the Romulan War.”
“Really?” O'Brien looked fascinated. “What was he like?”
She looked thoughtful. “Funny,” she said. “And very genuine. And in hindsight, very good-looking, but Tobin was more interested in his plus one.” A fond little smile crossed her face. “She was the most beautiful woman I’d ever seen.”
“Who?” Nog asked, suddenly extremely invested in the story.
“His wife. Ambassador T’Pol.”
“Oh, that’s right!” O’Brien exclaimed. “He was one of the first humans to have an inter-species marriage. Officially, anyway.”
“So his wife was a Vulcan, and she was very attractive,” Nog said, wanting to get this thing back on track.
“She wasn’t just any Vulcan,” Dax said. “She was first officer on the NX-01 for years, she was the first non-human to ever receive a Starfleet commission… And after the founding of the Federation, she served as the ambassador to her homeworld for decades.”
She shot Nog a small smile. “But she was very attractive.” She sipped her drink, eyes on the past. “They really were a stunning couple. The energy between them was…palpable. Their sex life was probably spectacular.”
Nog's eyes were huge. O’Brien cleared his throat loudly, and Dax coughed primly. “Suffice it to say, they both had illustrious careers.”
“Here’s a homework assignment for you, Nog,” O’Brien said brightly. “Look up the Romulan Drone Ship incident of 2154. I think you'll find it educational.”
The young Ferengi nodded. “Romulan drone ship…2154…” he repeated.
“I want you to be able to tell me all about it tomorrow.”
“Oh! Okay! Yes, Chief!” He scurried off. O’Brien gave Dax an intrigued look.
“Spectacular, you say?”
“Chief,” she said frankly, “she probably owned a shirt that said 'Save a Starship, Ride an Engineer'.”

ramble about wally & home's codependent swag. do it. you know you want to /lh
sorry for sitting so long on this one, anon. it's good to let thoughts Ferment sometimes. anyway - [pulls up a chair to sit down on it backwards, facing you]
so, the way i see it: it all comes back to home, yeah? home is not just the house - home is also the name of the town, it is very likely the town itself, and that town may be (as far as we know) the entire world. the very Concept of the home been discussed by clown as a central theme of welcome home a few times on his blog. when i say that home is everything, i do mean everything, and i don't think there's anyone for whom that rings more true than wally.
i know i link back to my older posts a lot, but i swear this one is relevant bc i wanna elaborate on a point that i make in the first half of it: the way i see it (as of the time of this writing) home, in all senses of the word, is wally's top priority. which is not to say that his devotion towards home supersedes everything else, but that everything else sort of feeds back into it by design. the neighbors? they are there to inhabit home. we, the audience? we are there to perceive home and round out its population. the WHRP*? they said it themselves - they're there to make that fucking house a home. home is everything, and in turn, everything is for the sake of preserving home. wally cares for his neighbors, and he cares for Us, but would either of those still be the case if there was no home to preserve? i'm not sure.
there is a catch to this, though. of course there is. wally's identity already seems tied pretty heavily to other people; he learns from his neighbors, and he does so on the audience's behalf. given everything i've written in the above paragraph, this can arguably be an extension of his devotion to home, however genuine those relationships may be in their own right. in other words, home (more specifically the restoration/preservation of home) is not only wally's chief motivation, but as far as he's concerned, the reason he exists at all. i think a lot about these tags that @pretty-in-possible (hope you don't mind the tag) left on a post of mine describing their image of wally:
Tumblr media
and i had something very similar in mind. if wally's goal truly is the restoration/preservation of home - in this context, his raison d'ĂŞtre, the basis for his entire sense of self - then i can imagine why he would be willing to follow his original role as closely as he could even 50 years after the end of the original show. i can imagine that outgrowing that role in any capacity would feel like a sin. i can imagine that watching his friends outgrow theirs, or at least express a desire to do so, would seem extremely reckless to him, if not an outright betrayal.
("wait," you might say. "doesn't tampering with the site technically count as him adapting/evolving past his original role as audience surrogate?" "yes 8]" i would say. i would not elaborate, and then we would move on.)
i've mostly been talking about wally's side of things, and the reason for that is mostly that wally is just easier to speculate about. home is such a mystery that some people aren't even sure if they're the same being that was on the original show; i've seen people posit that whatever home is now, it is Not what they were originally, either that they're undead or that they've since become a husk for Something Else to inhabit, or some third thing i'm forgetting. either way, i think it's interesting that as attached as wally is to home, even he doesn't seem to be able to assess whatever their needs are with 100% accuracy - if the duet audio is to be believed, there's at least Some guesswork involved. who's to say that wally isn't just hearing what he wants to hear, at least some of the time?
i wonder - how does home feel about being an Embodiment, not of just the town, but of the very word "home?" are they frustrated with the fact that even wally, their own inhabitant, can never fully understand them, and has become resentful? do they appreciate the effort regardless, but feel a growing impatience gnawing at them day by day? are they apathetic at best towards wally, but need him to fulfill some goal or another, since they're an inanimate building? either way, i can't help but feel that home also relies on wally in some way; perhaps not as heavily as he relies on them, perhaps not in the same way or for the same reasons. but there is something Mutual there, i think.
tl;dr: these two are hurtling towards disaster and i, for one, cannot wait to see every last bit of it. here are two songs that remind me of them every time i hear them, the realization of which is often accompanied by guttural wailing.
* wally doesn't seem to have any strong feelings towards the WHRP team outside of maybe sharing the same motivation as them (i.e. restoration) but this may be because he's either hiding from them and also doesn't seem like the kind of guy to Express negative emotions, or he because he is the WHRP team - we'll see how things shake out.

Fuck every single one of you dumb ass mother fuckers who voted for anyone but Kamala or didn't vote at all
There were enough of you ass backward shitheads spewing uneducated nonsense about how a non-vote or third party vote was a "protest" about genocide and all you did was trade one for another.
YOU'RE FUCKING STUPID
And I'm not sorry about it. You don't give a shit about what's going to happen here to your own family and friends or in Gaza if you can't even say you did your part to try and prevent it from getting worse for them and the people around you.
Like this literally hits harder when you know that people genuinely didn't even fucking try and now they're posting about being scared and how we should come together as a community.
As a Black woman directly impacted by all of this FUCK YOU!! You and every other racist, uneducated, selfish, self-serving dumbass are about to get exactly what you ordered:

Hi, guys! I was wondering, what are your favourite Bleach intros and why? Genuinely curious about this
@whipplefilter: I'm a fake fan and don't have strong attachments to any of the Bleach music, but looking back through my off-the-top-of-my-head faves, they all have two things in common! They all have some kind of engagement with urban environments, and they all prominently feature Matsumoto. Which, like, very on brand of me, albeit unconsciously!
Top Fave: Ranbu No Melody - SID
AKA what we here at B3 call "the marble OP." I know it's the hougyoku, whatever. I'm into the experimental, subject-less first third of this OP, though, which is just a series of urban environmental shots, shown first in full and then with an overlay reminiscent of a film negative. The intensity/gravity/bananasness of having moved and replaced Karakura with Fake Karakura is minimized in the story itself, but I feel like it comes roaring in this OP, and I love it.
And then we have this GORGEOUS shot of Matsumoto (crying over Ichimaru's dead body), which is beautifully rendered and also makes my heart hurt for her. And I think it's cool that it plays forwards and also judders backwards--there's a destabilzation of time/affect happening that intrigues.
Also, I actually do like the song itself! The refrain as the imagery changes from urban stills to character motion makes my heart flutter.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
2nd Place: Rolling Star - YUI
Nothing but wins here, honestly. More Matsumoto, and Ichimaru's representative ghost holding her in a strangling embrace. (Her hair also seems a bit shorter than usual, so either it's caught up in the way his body is pressing against her back, or it's from an earlier point in canon--either reading delights me.)
Then we have Ichigo manspreading in a hipster loft/cafe and the Advance Team in a different industrial hipster cafe, with RENJI AND HIS HAT, and it's all gold. (Not pictured but imminently entering the third screenshot is Matsumoto, just to note the Matsumoto quotient required of all my fave OPs.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
3rd Place: Shoujo S - SCANDAL
I mostly like this one because it's the "Dancing Girls OP," and I especially love Orihime and Rukia dancing their duet, because the physicality of their bodies and movements brings out the ways they contrast and complement each other.
But the "Shinigami in Random Urban Settings" motif isn't to be slept on here, either! LOOK, IT'S SASAKIBE POSING WITH SOMEONE'S LAUNDRY. YAMAMOTO WITH A VENDING MACHINE.
✨✨✨ AND KIRA MOODILY SHARING AN ALLEYWAY WITH SOMEONE'S 2005 HONDA ACCORD. ✨✨✨
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
----------------------------------------------------------
@ippoddity Ngl I am not good at remembering OPs off the top of my head and I also don’t have any strong attachments to any of them, because I never watched Bleach while it was airing. I also don’t know the names of any of these songs, I only know them by nicknames LOL.
For some reason, my top favs also align pretty closely with my co-blogger’s. I’ve been sitting here just trying to bring OPs to mind, and the "Marble OP" is one of the most memorable. I’ll also always remember “Hitsugaya Cafe”, because we spent a long time trying to color match Renji’s hat. (whipple: I could not for the life of me find the additional version where actual color balancing was involved, though you'd think it'd be a reblog of that post or at least appear in the archive around the same time. Choosing to believe Tumblr deleted it out of Hatgate censorship!!) “Dancing Girls” will always be a fav, because I think this was one of the first times I tried to make a GIF? And it was simply because I love everyone in their girl group era.
chAngE - miwa
I also have to give a shoutout to this song, because it is one of the few OPs that I know how it goes off the top of my head. The animation is also gorgeous and has a lot of fun action shots!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
STARS - w.o.d
I will admit that I didn’t really like the song itself when it was first introduced, but it really grew on me over time. Plus, I really love the animation. It’s such a fun modern AU. I mean, who can resist Ichigo wielding a double-necked guitar like he’s going to bludgeon someone with it?

5/What the stars say about Rajwa and Hussein .......🌟
Tumblr media
Hussein's Zodiac Sign : Cancer ♋
Rajwa's Zodiac Sign : Taurus ♉
Taurus and Cancer are so compatible that they feel like soulmates.
These two are affectionate and nurturing and share many of the same values and interests.
As a water sign, Cancer flows naturally into the earth sign Taurus, to make one of the "strongest matches" in the zodiac.
6/My opinion on Rajwa:
I don't give myself the right to talk about her since I don't know her in person but I think 'judging by the pictures I've seen of her' that:
She is an extrovert and a chill person.
She is very sociable and well liked by her friends.
She is friendly and enthusiastic.
She is a free spirit ✨ and open to try new things.
She is carefree
I like her style, her shiny sneakers at her graduation, her messy half up bun hairstyle at work , her accessories , her dark nail colors and specially the way she wears her caps "backwards" 😂
Say what you want about Rajwa, but one thing 's for sure she is not your usual Princess....xD

Is there any proof that CW imposes or asked Misha to be bi or imply it? Or anyone that has worked for the CW?
Sorry if I misunderstood this ask, but I think you have it backwards? Tinhats believe that the reason that their celebrity/public figure is not publicly out is due to PR. This is true to some extent.
DJ Qualls only recently came out, even though it was well known that he liked men. There were many rumors about Kevin Spacey before he publicly came out. There's a leading man that I hear many rumors about in queer circles and on gossip pages, but I'm not going to post his name here because I think people are entitled to their privacy. I don't know much about this man, but these rumors seem more credible than any CW actor, in part, because this leading man has more to lose.
More than that, the CW wouldn't be the one deciding if an actor should come out or not. Often this is a decision that an actor makes based on their ability to land certain roles and their fear of landing those roles becoming endangered if it is publicly known that they like men. These are usually actors who are playing leading men in romances.
DJ's career wasn't challenged by him coming out now, although it could have been negatively impacted had he come out earlier.
PR is something that people often over- and underestimate in fandom depending on their approach. I think a lot of underestimating comes from people not realizing that officials are involved in certain projects or how they are involved. For example, Kings of Con isn't just something a pair of friends are doing, but they also have investors. Those investors probably aren't controlling R2 to a high degree, it's just that R2 are being mindful of how their content will be perceived by their investors.
There's a lot of PR around casts all being friends and loving each other. Most of the time, this is PR. But at the same time, if there are people who are fighting in the cast, that information gets out. It's really well known that David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson had lots of conflicts on the X-Files set, something that they have now both admitted in public. Samantha didn't return to the Sex in the City revival due to conflicts with her actress.
Multiple people, including people who are known for being open and honest and not bowing to PR, like Mark Sheppard, have talked about how genuine J2 are and how they have a real friendship.
For example, there are antis on both sides who try to claim that anytime J2 do something affectionate and brotherly together, that's just PR, but PR doesn't work like that. PR wouldn't forced them to get meals together in the evenings outside of the con, especially when they aren't announcing that they are getting the meals together.
If they aren't announcing it and we are finding out about it from third parties, or a casual mention as part of a larger story, then you know that it's not PR.
I expect when the revival really kicks off, we are going to see more brotherly posts from the Js about each other, and that will be PR, not because they don't genuinely have that relationship (they do!), but because they are promoting that relationship to support more Supernatural. (See 2015 social media.)
So if Misha was queer, there would be no problem with him coming out based on the type of actor that he is and the current climate. In fact, him coming out as straight put a lot of egg on his face, and was bad PR. This was a choice that Misha made. Nobody told him to do any part of it, and definitely not anybody from the CW!

Behaviour
In the years I've been teaching, I have seen the behaviour of teenagers gradually decline to the point where I have felt genuinely scared of them.
But I have a job to do, and I can't do it with these little shits distracting the rest of the class.
So here I am, faking authority, chewing out the three worst trouble-makers in year 11. The final bell has gone for the day, and I can see how pissed off they are at being kept behind, but if I let them get away with bad behaviour then they will continue being disruptive, and I will have a fight on my hands every lesson.
All three boys are taller than me, and that doesn't help, either.
I instruct them to sit on separate tables, and copy and complete the information from the board into their books.
Two of them comply immediately - obviously recognising that the quicker they get it done, the quicker they can go home.
The third boy - Austin - doesn't sit down. He's glaring at me, and I expect he's probably going to grab his bag and walk out, any second now.
"Austin," I say, firmly, "sit down, and get on with the work."
The other two look up to see how this is going to play out.
My heart is hammering against my ribs. This boy does not respect my authority, and there is nothing more I can say or do that will make him do anything he doesn't want to.
"I don't have to do anything you tell me," he sneers.
At this point I don't care if he walks out; I'm starting to feel oddly threatened.
"You're just a pathetic faggot who gets off on on telling people what to do," his face is twisted into an ugly, aggressive expression.
It isn't exactly a secret that I'm gay; I wear a pride pin on my lanyard, and have a small flag pinned over my desk.
I know I have to come down hard on him for using the f-slur, but right now I just really want him to leave.
"Get out," I command, in the steadiest voice I can muster.
The other two boys have stopped writing, and are eagerly watching the drama unfold.
Austin walks towards me and I start to feel a bit sick.
I'm fairly confident that he won't actually lay a hand on me.
Right up until he does.
He pushes me square in the chest, and a combination of his strength and my unreadiness result in me falling backwards against the board.
And then he's right up in my face.
"I bet you think about fucking students," he accuses, face so close to mine I can smell his breath - a combination of sickly sweetness and cigarette smoke.
I am absolutely not attracted to students. If anything, I prefer men older than myself.
"Get away from me," I manage to croak out, but I know how weak my voice sounds. And damnit, I'm shaking.
"If I fucked you, you'd probably enjoy it," and he's making the most aggressive eye contact I've ever seen.
I can hear the other two boys sniggering, and that doesn't fill me with hope - they aren't going to talk him out of any bad choices he's about to make.
"Don't," is all I can say, but then he's gripping my arm and shoving me forward until my legs hit the first desk, and my body folds over it.
He barks an order at the others to lock the door, and then I feel his forearm pushing down on the back of my neck, and his groin pressing hard against my backside.
Surely he wouldn't dare. My mind is racing as I try to think of what I can say or do to de-escalate the situation.
He has me well pinned with only one arm and his body, and the other hand is trying to get at the waistband of my trousers.
He's serious.
I fling my elbow back and hit him pretty ineffectually against the ribs.
"Hold his arms down," Austin instructs the others.
"Don't!" I shout, hopeful that these two won't be stupid enough to get involved with an actual crime.
Unfortunately it turns out they are easily led, and to be honest, given their behaviour in the classroom, I shouldn't have expected them to give any thought to the consequences of their actions.
They each take an arm, pulling on them painfully hard, while Austin gets his hands under my waist and easily defeats the fly of my trousers, tugging them and my underpants down.
I'm in shock. I can't believe it has gone this far.
I can feel air against my exposed buttocks, and despite the humiliation, I hope Austin is just going to laugh, snap a photo, and leave. But I can hear him pulling down his own trousers.
"Don't," I try again. "Don't do it. Austin, seriously, please, you will regret this."
But he's pulling my butt cheeks apart, and I can feel his breath down there for a moment before he spits, rubbing it against my arsehole with a sickening wet noise.
Then his hands are on my hips and I can feel his cock pressing into me.
I don't fight it.
For one thing, I'm more likely to get hurt if I struggle, and for another; the bastard will probably enjoy it more if I do.
I concentrate on breathing steadily through my nose, keeping my eyes and mouth shut, and trying to think about anything other than what is happening.
Then, the boy holding my right arm changes his grip, and I feel the warm, moist head of his cock poking against my closed lips.
I turn my face down towards the table top, but another hand grips the back of my head and forces my face back towards him.
"Yeah, suck his cock," Austin commands, only slightly out of breath despite his frantic thrusting into me.
The hand on the back of my head tightens in my hair and jerks back. My mouth opens involuntarily as I gasp against the pain, and the head of the cock forces its way in.
"Fuck, yeah," Austin snarls, "I bet you fucking love this, you pedo."
I can't breathe enough through my nose, and the cock in my mouth is choking me. Panic starts to take hold, and I can no longer lie still and wait for it to be over. I strain against the hands holding me down, trying to twist and buck.
"You're nothing. You're just holes for us to cum in," Austin continues to berate me, thrusting far harder than necessary; clearly more intent on hurting me than anything else.
But it's the cock in my mouth that's causing me the most pain. I gag as he forces himself to the back of my throat. He's dropped my arm altogether, though I can't use it to do anything useful, and now he's practically suffocating me against his crotch. I can't breathe. I can't breathe.
I can only manage a pathetic whine, and when the boy holding my head finally pulls back so I can gasp a desperate breath, I can't help the sob that escapes.
"No, please!" I beg just before he forces his way back in. He rocks my skull back and forth, casually fucking my mouth.
"Ugh, yeah, that's so good. I'm gonna cum, and you're going to swallow it all down."
I'm bloody well not.
Warm, sour fluid fills my mouth and throat, and I retch, feeling it escaping through my nasal cavity, and out of my mouth.
"You're gonna take my load in your guts like a good whore," Austin finally sounds out of breath as he pounds through my aching muscles. He presses tight up against me, and I can feel his breath on my shoulder.
Then his cock is twitching inside me, and he is otherwise still.
"Fuck, I've got cum on my trousers," the one who raped my mouth complains.
"Yeah, that's normal for you, innit?" The other one laughs.
Austin pulls out of me, and I suddenly feel the full sting of the assault. I wonder if he'll allow me to redress, but I'm still in too much shock to move.
"You guys go, I'll deal with this," he instructs his peers.
When the other two have left the room, I feel Austin's hand gently stroking my still exposed arse.
"You might be a shit teacher, but you make a great whore," he whispers. I see him move around around me and he shifts into my direct line of sight. I can't look at him, and try to turn my head, but he reaches out to hold my face still.
"Next time you think about keeping me behind after school, I'm going to know it's because you want more of this," he smirks.
Then he picks up his bag and leaves. All three student exercise books are still out on the desks, and a quick glance at the clock tells me the cleaner will be here in half an hour.
I take a deep breath. Stand up. Adjust my clothes. Put their books away. Then take a pile of mid term assessments from the side, and sit down with a green pen to mark them.
